I saw this post over on Reddit the other day, titled “I’ve watched a dozen battle reports of Necrons vs Space Marines and this is the impression I got as a non-player.”
This is so true.
Numerous games I played against Space Marines, I’d had my roll of dice and then they’d roll tons of dices with lots of re-rolls and buffs that were coming out the wazoo. When I mentioned it in the store, I was told to read my codex and when I did, I noticed that Necrons didn’t have any characters which gave the same buffs that Space Marine players get and it got worse with the Space Marine codex with Stratagems, Warlord Traits, Litanies of Battle, Psychic Disciplines and Chapter Relics.
Guess that’s also why I’m giving 40k, in general, a wide berth.
